Privacy

Plain English, because that is how we write everything. This page covers duskgild.com. Purchases happen on Etsy and are covered by Etsy's privacy policy.

What we collect

• The mailing list ("The Signal"): your email address, and when you joined. Nothing else.
• Commission requests: what you type into the form — name, email, the piece you have in mind, the finish, stones and stone colour you picked, any engraving you asked for, size, budget, the rough estimate we showed you, and your description.
• The Studio: if you use the design studio, we keep your email, what you asked for in your own words, any changes you asked for afterwards, and the drawings it produced. To draw them, the words you type are sent to an outside AI provider through Vercel's AI Gateway — that is the one place your description leaves our storage. Your email address is not sent with it; the provider sees only a scrambled code that stands in for you. We also require the request to go only to providers contractually barred from using what you type to train their models, so your idea cannot end up inside someone else's AI.
• Outbound-link clicks: when you click through to one of our Etsy listings, we log which page and listing you left from, the campaign and medium that referred you, and the website you arrived from (the site name only, such as facebook.com) — never your IP address or any identifier that points back to you.

Where it lives and who sees it

These are stored in private storage on our hosting provider (Vercel), readable only by the studio. New signups, commission requests, and new Etsy orders also send an alert to our own private team workspace (a Discord server) so we can act on them: a commission alert carries what you submitted, and an order alert carries your name, the item, and any note you left at checkout. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.

Cookies and analytics

We use Vercel's cookieless, aggregate analytics to count visits — it does not identify you or follow you across the web.

This site can also run the Meta (Facebook) pixel, an advertising tracker. It tells Meta which pages you viewed here so we can show our own ads to people who have visited, and measure whether those ads work. It can set cookies and is the one thing on this site that may follow you to Facebook or Instagram. We use it only for our own advertising — we never sell or hand your data to anyone. It is off by default and does not run until you choose "Accept" on the banner at the bottom of the page. If you turn on Global Privacy Control, we treat that as a "no" automatically and never show the banner. You can also choose "Decline," use your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker, or adjust your Meta ad settings. Nothing on this site stops working if the pixel is off, and clearing your browser storage resets the choice.

Seeing or deleting your data

Email support@duskgild.com and we will show you what we hold or delete it — usually within a few days. Unsubscribing from the list works the same way until sending begins, at which point every email carries its own unsubscribe link.

Retention

Mailing-list addresses are kept until you ask to leave. Commission requests are kept while the conversation is live and for our records afterward, unless you ask us to delete them. Studio designs and the drawings made from them are kept so we can pick the conversation back up, and are deleted on request like everything else.

If you are in California

Duskgild is a small California business, well under the size at which the CCPA applies — but the rights it grants are ones we extend to everyone anyway, so it makes little difference in practice. You can ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted, at support@duskgild.com. We will never treat you differently for asking.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. The one thing that counts as "sharing" under California law is the Meta pixel described above, and it does not run unless you press Accept — if you use Global Privacy Control, we take that as a no and never ask.

In effect since July 17, 2026. If this policy changes, the date changes with it.
