Yes — every piece is solid 925 sterling silver. Not silver-plated, not silver-coloured brass. The metal is the real thing all the way through.

The gold and rose-gold are a plated finish — real gold gilding over the solid sterling silver beneath. It is a genuine finish over genuine silver, not a gold-alloy piece, and never plating over brass or base metal. Like any plated finish, it slowly wears back toward the silver with friction, fastest on rings; we call it a finish because that is exactly what it is. Every product page says plainly which finish it carries.

Nearly every set stone is lab-created and named on its page — lab-created ruby, opal, sapphire, and so on. Lab-created stones are chemically identical to mined ones, kinder on the earth and the wallet. The few natural materials are named just as plainly, like a raw quartz point or the dyed black onyx in Reliquary.

Openwork is exactly that: open. The metal is solid 925 sterling silver all the way through and nothing is hollow tubing, but an openwork design is mostly air between solid branches, so it wears lighter than a filled band of the same size. If weight in the hand matters to you, message us about the piece first and we will tell you straight.

Measure the inside diameter of a ring you already wear, or use an inexpensive plastic ring sizer, and match it to the US scale. We cast US sizes 2 through 13, including half and quarter sizes. The size menu at checkout lists whole sizes; for an in-between size, message us before we cast and we will make it exact. If a size still turns out wrong, message us first; stone-set and oxidized pieces are hard for a local bench to alter, and a recast in the right size is often the cleaner fix.

Nothing comes off a shelf. Each piece is cast and finished after you order it, in your size and finish — so most ship in about three to four weeks, and the most intricate casts can take up to five. Made to order is the whole point.

Sometimes, and we will tell you honestly rather than take an order we would miss. Count back three to four weeks of casting plus up to ten days of shipping, so a hard date wants roughly six weeks of room, more for an intricate cast. Closer than that, message us before you order. Our seasonal guides carry the exact order-by dates for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine's Day.

US shipping is free and tracked. Orders and payment run through our Etsy shop, so international shipping options and buyer protection are handled there at checkout.

Each piece is cast and finished at our production partner's workshop in Shenzhen and ships to you straight from the bench, so tracking will show a China origin. Ordering, payment, and support all run through our US Etsy shop. We would rather tell you here than have a tracking page surprise you.

Possibly, and better you hear it here than from the courier at your door. Etsy collects tax at checkout where the rules allow, but above some thresholds (in the EU, orders over about 150 euro) import VAT and duties are billed to you on arrival. US orders have not seen this. Unsure? Message us before you order and we will tell you what to expect.

You have thirty days to return a piece, and a twenty-four-hour window to cancel an order before we cast it. Because everything runs through Etsy, buyer protection covers you on every order.

Message us through the Etsy shop straight away, with a photo if you can. A defect in your first thirty days is a return on us, or a recast of the same design if you would rather replace it than return it. Either way you will not have to argue for it.

Keep it dry: take it off for showers, pools, and the gym, since soap, chlorine, and sweat all speed tarnish. On the oxidized dark pieces, polish the raised silver gently and leave the recesses dark — the finish is meant to deepen with wear. On polished or gilded pieces, a soft jewelry cloth brings the shine back. Store pieces apart so they do not knock.

Every Duskgild design stays on file after it is cast, so a piece is never truly gone. If yours is lost, stolen, or damaged past wearing, message us through the Etsy shop. A replacement of the same design in your size is a flat $199, or $149 for pieces listed under $250, no matter what happened to the first one. That is not a warranty claim and there is no form to fill in; you tell us, we cast it again. A defect in your first thirty days is simpler still: that is a return, on us.

Duskgild designs the pieces; they are cast and finished by our production partner to our spec, then sold and shipped through our Etsy shop. We do not claim each one is hand-forged alone — we claim it is solid sterling silver, honestly described, and made to order for you.

No — the product images and the turntable videos are AI-generated renders of the design, not photographs of your cast piece. They let every design be shown consistently before it exists; the piece you receive is cast in solid 925 sterling silver to that same design. Small construction details can differ between a render and a finished cast; if one matters to you, message us before ordering and we will write it into the casting order. When we have a real photo of a finished cast, we say so plainly.
